Day 15: Quick Home Workouts for Increased Energy

Today is Day 15 of the Lose your Computer Butt Challenge. (<– If you’re just joining us, click to check it out. We’ll be repeating the same exercises every week this month, so you are welcome to jump right in.)

I have a fun challenge planned for Friday, so please start today with the Monday workout again. Here's what the challenge will be…

Team Computer Butt Friday Contest:

Let's Find out Who's the Squattiest!

On Friday, I'll be hosting a contest – with prizes.

The 3 squattiest persons (the top three who do the most squats – no weights – from Friday morning until end of day Friday) will win prizes! We'll all check in throughout the day, but people can continue to beat you and raise the bar all day long so it's in your best interest to do your squats before noon, so you have time to add to them later in the day if someone blows past you.

For example, if I post 125 squats at 10 in the morning and then Ronnie posts 140, then I can go do 25 more to beat him (and of course trash-talk him) and so it goes. Its kind of like a painful auction! lmao.

I'll give you full details before Friday, but now you know to watch for it. 🙂

Don't forget to post your updates so I don't have to track you down on Twitter!

Wow. Now I’m scared of Friday. 😛 I’m going to have to practice all week (and I’ll still loose but I’ll be a good sport and play along.)

Nice Monday workout. Going to rearrange my office and then back for Cardio this afternoon.

Monday workout is done. I increased my dumbbell weight, boy can I feel it now! But I made another payment for our Disney Trip so it is getting closer and this computer butt is so not going with!

ha ha ha ha… !!! Judi, that was the funniest darn thing… “and this computer butt is so not going with!” lmao – well, not quite, my computer butt is still there. 😀 Yup, My computer butt will not be invited on any of my trips either! Ha!

So, Nicole, a challenge you say??? Well, I’m on!

I just finished the Monday workout and man those “planks” are killers! But, I did ’em. I also increased my weight today for both the arm/chest exercise things, so that was good. I may even have to buy some heavier weights before too long. 😀 Yippee! I was a bit conservative on the weights I bought because I didn’t want to end up with a pulled muscle or something, but now I can see that I was being way wimpy!

So, back to work… I’ll check in later. Man, I’m still sweatin’! 😀

Yeah, those weights you got aren’t a whole lot heavier than the Baked Beans we were using.

No worries, I’ll be passing down my 8 lb ones pretty soon, hopefully! 🙂

I totally wimped out on my weights too and really need to buy new ones. I’ve only got 2.5lb’ers!

The 8 lb ones were perfect for the Butterfly today.

But, they didn’t feel like they were enough for the chest press – until I then got to the pushups and laid on the ground because my muscles were pooped!

Also, they were perfect for the sitting twist thingie, too.

I still keep my cans of beans on the floor in case my muscles totally fatigue, so I can grab them and finish.

oopsy, I forgot to say that I FINALLY listened to Nicole’s interview with Scott. It was… what can I say… fabulous, wonderful, insightful, funny, touching, informative, real… oh, and I get a shout-out, Thank You Nicole!

I’ll tell you it’s long, so listen when you’re at the end of your day instead of, say, watching a movie. No kidding. Or, break it up into two parts. But don’t miss it! Kudos to you Nicole and Scott!

Done with cardio session today! Those “burpies” things are so dang funny! I look so ridiculous trying to hop up and down like that. 😀

But, I’ve gotten through them again… yikes.

Umm, I think I won’t be around on Friday. hehe. just jokin. Squats are not really my friend but I’ll take your challenge and see if I can win the squat auction, lol!

Did both videos today and so far so good! I can feel myself getting stronger with certain things, like the plank and also just doing push ups. Cardio really got me sweating.

I have to say my eating this week was not that good. I went out two nights and both nights there were cupcakes and sweets and meats and chips. I had some of it all, yikes. Didn’t lose any weight this week but I didn’t gain any so I’m still down 3. Getting myself back on track.

Also today I went out and bought myself some much needed new clothes! The clothes are just the right size and style so that even when I lose the weight they’ll still look good. Nothing like some new styles to make you feel confident too – and I got really great deals (I’m a very frugal clothes shopper).

Finally got my workout portion done. I think I’m going to have to do both cardio portions tomorrow.

Today I was sleepy and took a nice long nap… 🙂

Wow. I love how everyone is in such a good mood today!

I’m excited. I changed my office around today. I had my desk where it blocked my office off from the rest of the house but I realized I was loosing a lot of space (that I needed to workout) and my daughter’s desk was in my office on the opposite wall from my desk. I flipped my desk and put my daughter’s desk in the living room. Opens up tons more space and I think it will help with my productivity to not be moving little chairs, tricycles, silos full of crayons and various other stuff out of my way all the time.

Got my cardio in this evening and even a few squats. I’m pumped up for tomorrow.

Good luck with your squats. 😀

Oh Wow, Angela, new clothes… that’s a good idea. I’m glad you treated yourself. I keep waiting until I lose some more weight before I shop, but sometimes just having one thing that looks nice and fits nice helps a gal feel better. I was in the habit of wearing clothes that were too baggy, so I looked heavier than I was. I started buying blouses that are better fitted and not hanging straight down and it sure makes a difference in how I feel about myself. 😀

Whoa a squat challenge! Nicole have you like totally lost it 🙂

Ok I will try but I was sore for three days after doing them the last time. Hey, a challenge is a good thing.

I did my Monday workout and boy those burpies are not my thing so I did the squat jump thing Scott suggested as an alternative.

    Let’s kick some Computer Butt!
