I’ve been spending some time lately talking about TERRIBLE JV requests.
I don’t want you to think I’m all about the negative these days, so here’s an example of the right way to get JV partners on board…
Message from Maruxa Murphy:
Hi Nicole,
Hope you are well.
I wanted to send you a quick personal message to invite you to be one of our guest “successful” Mamas for our upcoming Successful Mamas Telesummit.
Feel free to watch my video and let me know what you think.
Thanks! Have a great week.
To you continued success,
Maruxa Murphy

Imagine my surprise when I pressed “play” and heard “Hi Nicole!”
Why is this better than a phone call? Well, for me it is anyway, because it’s on MY schedule.
Obviously it worked, because I just sent this out to my ShowMomtheMoney.com list as a fantastic resource!
Happy Wednesday!

LIVE and you will also receive an MP3 copy of the call.
So, as you can see, there is a right way to attract and motivate affiliates and a WRONG way to attract and motivate affiliates.
I just didn’t want to spend my time showing you the wrong things to do without showing you a GREAT example of bringing a win-win scenario to the table.
Warmly,
Nicole

Thanks so much for sharing this great example Nicole. I’m taking notes and jotting down ideas on how I can incorporate this strategy. Awesome example of going the extra mile.

Well, I was drafting this post and accidentally clicked the “Publish” button instead of “save draft” so you have half of my blog post up there to read.
What I was going to say was that I loved the personal aspect of Maruxa’s email, and how she made me feel special. Obviously we hit it off, because I then also participated in the Outsourcing Telesummit that’s going on this week.
The important points to notice in this connection are that people like to do business with those they like. I like Maruxa. So, I’ll continue to do business with her.
Plus, she respects my time and understands that I may need to be reminded a few times and that it isn’t personal if I don’t respond right away.
All big important things.
Plus, did I mention that she’s really nice?! lol.
All good things.
So, do check out my two projects with Maruxa –
Mom CEO Seminar
Outsourcing Telesummit
And, keep an eye on her. She’ll be doing great things.

Love that approach. And there are so many great tools out there to make this a pretty simple process too.
It really showed that she wasn’t just mass emailing a whole wack of people since she took the time to create a video just for you. Too cool,
Angela

Ahhh so refreshing!
Oh and way to see the positive even when you get idiots (oops did I just say that outloud) who don’t respect anything but the money they WANT in their pocket. The sad part is, with a nasty attitude like those you showed us earlier today, that money isn’t going to come like it has the potential to.
Now, with this one – oh yeah she’s gonna see results and BIG ones too!
Way to go Maruxa. I like you already.

Oh my goodness, Nicole, I’m totally floored by what you wrote about me, THANK you so much. I truly appreciate your sweet words!
To me, I think it’s important to add a special touch to the way we connect with others. Personally, I love to meet people face to face, but I also love the power of having an online company. Video allows me to connect with others easily. People get to see me as me, and I get to see others as themselves when I have a chance to meet them either over the web or at live events.
To me, remembering that though the internet is great – we all still need human connection, and if by creating a video that takes less than five minutes to film, edit and send can help build a more substantial relationship with someone you respect more so than an email can do; well, those extra 5 minutes are very much worth it.
Thanks again Nicole! You are too sweet for words! (and you just made my day with the ones you chose!)
To all our continued success,
Maruxa

Wow, what a GREAT example! Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Nicole! I signed up yesterday (I think through your email) and I’m excited to get to know Maruxa, too – I really liked her straight off the bat, myself!
