Should I Buy Simple Six Figures? Beginners.
in FAQ & Getting Started & Outsourcing & Reviews by Nicole on
I received this question in my inbox today from a beginner, regarding my email & blog posts yesterday about Paul Evans Simple Six Figures program vs. Jimmy D. Brown’s Membernaire.
Hi Nicole,
Paul’s membership sites program sounds great.
Actually it sounds too good to be true. Can I really be set up in 30 minutes?
How long before I can expect to start making money?
How much does the traffic generation cost?Sorry to sound skeptical but there is so much CRAP out there
promising fast easy money.I really enjoy the info. you share and you don’t seem to me like
you would endorse something that didn’t really deliver.I could really use something like this if it is what it claims to be.
I have built up a large credit card debt buying alot of programs that just
where not any good or too complicated for a non-techie like me to implement. Thanks:)

Here’s my response:
Paul’s membership is great, BUT… if you’ve run up your credit card buying programs and are unable to implement them, then I recommend you do not purchase this course. It is worth the money, involves very basic stuff, and he includes videos to teach you, but I’m more concerned with the lack of implementing the old stuff that you’ve learned.
Make sure you’ve chosen your business model.
Blogging, Affiliate Marketing, eCommerce, Mini-Sites, Membership Sites, etc.
Most of the stuff you see works. That’s not the issue. It’s a matter of putting your blinders on for a period of time and taking one path to success, before jumping into the next thing. (Not that you’re NOT doing that, but I can certainly sense your frustration and would hate to send you down another rabbit hole if you’ve already got a clear plan of what you want to do.)
Rather than spend money on another course, I would recommend that – after you have a clear plan – you hire another marketer to help you set things up. In fact, I ALWAYS recommend that you outsource anything that is a roadblock for you – or that you’ll only ever need to do once. There’s no point in being stuck on something, especially if you’ll never need to do it again.
THEN, after you start marketing and making money, you can broaden your knowledge base. Even if you’re just setting up a blog (MomWebs.com will install it for only $10 with any hosting account) – and you’re experimenting with that, writing some fun content and moving ahead. But, please do not buy another course, until you’ve got at least one website up and running.
Of course, the only exception to that would be if you didn’t know what to do, then I’d say to invest in hiring a coach, like Kelly McCausey at www.MomsBizTalk.com to guide you to find what you want to tackle first.

I hope that helps. Yes, the course is great, and I recommend you check it out WHEN you’re ready to tackle a membership site.

If it’s ok, I’d like to copy your email (with your name removed) to my blog. I think it’s important for others to understand how to get past the point where you’re at. Perhaps it will help others to get some clarity. Let me know. I won’t post it without your permission.
Warmly,
Nicole
Of course, she gave permission.
If you’re READY for Paul’s course, then I do highly recommend it.
However, I want your trust for the long haul rather than your money today.
- Yes, Simple Six Figures by Paul Evans is a great course.
- Yes, he simplifies it very well and breaks down each component – but – only buy it if you’re ready and willing to take action on the program.
- No, it will not cure all your ills, magically grow a money tree in your backyard, or jump off your hard-drive and do the work for you. (I WISH!)
If you’re ready today, the link is: Simple Six Figures by Paul Evans.
If not, you know where to find it later.
Have a FANTASTIC day!
Warmly,
Nicole

I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to buy something but you saved my butt with this honest and true answer.
I’m still trying to get through all the other stuff I have already paid for on my hard drive.
Thanks for being so awesome!

Glad to help, my friend!
You know I’m all for investing in your internet marketing education, but — only invest in what you’re ready to use when you’re ready to use it.
AND, as we both know — I’m only buying courses from people who I LIKE and RESPECT. But, that’s a whole ‘nother blog post if I can figure out how to do it without naming names of my past mistakes.
Appreciate your comments!

I fully agree about picking ONE thing and making it work.
I would add, that a component to picking the one thing is to find something that’s compatible with your personality.
For example, blogging is fine for me but membership sites are a bad match for me. It requires far more effort and in different ways than blogging does.
Is it a good deal? Yes, it certainly can be, but it is not a good deal for me, ultimately I would fail in it because it is not a good match for my personality.
A limited time membership like the Membernaire model would work better, but I’m still better at other models.
Sorry for being long-winded in a comment, there’s enough business models out there that a person should start out with one that is a good match for them rather than the one they think will make the most bang for the buck. Long term they will be more successful.

Awesome post Nicole – I wish I’d had this advice when I was starting up…
One little problem is that in the beginning you ignore advice to “outsource” or go to rentacoder or whatever.
It seems WAY too scary somehow
First time I did it I found it very liberating!
I really appreciated the letter and reply format – gives a very real and intimate feel to the blog

You’re right, Alex.
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve made is waiting too long to outsource. I wish that I’d done it sooner. I’m certain that I’d be making at least twice as much money if I had.
Onward and upward!

Hi, Nicole.
What a breath of fresh air! It was really wonderful to read your response to the person who wondered if a particular product was right for her. I admire and respect your integrity. From your response it was so clear that you genuinely care about her as a person, and don’t view her as just another opportunity to increase profits (as it often feels like so many online marketers do).
It’s great to know that people like you exist.
Have a great weekend.

Dear Nicole, I ordered Simple Six Figures really not knowing what to expect. After going through the program sadly to say it is not what I want to do. It’s just not me. Can I PLEASE get a refund. This will be greatly appreciated. Thank You for your trouble. I am open to looking at other possibilities. Have a good day. Dorothy & Bryan Herbes

Of course. It’s not my product though, so of course I can’t issue it.
Look at your email receipt and it’ll show you how to get that done.
Or you can go to http://www.Clickbank.com and request it through their support system.
Warmly,
Nicole
